Introduction
During the COVID pandemic, Tennessee hospitals experienced unprecedented challenges to patient care including high patient volumes, changes to work environments, alterations in workforce, frequent changes to guidelines, and visitor restrictions. Through-out this experience, the commitment to patient safety led to innovations in care delivery and safety culture that will remain part of healthcare following the pandemic.
