The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) will be publishing their fourth state report on healthcare-associated infections no later than the week of September 19, 2011. This report will contain CLABSI data for adult and pediatric intensive care units (ICUs) and neonatal ICUs. For the first time, the report will show aggregate date for burn, trauma and pediatric surgical cardiothoracic ICUs. The report will show changes over time comparing 2008 through 2010.
For the second time, this report will show aggregate surgical site infection (SSI) rates following coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) procedures.
The Tennessee Hospital Association hosted a free webinar to explain the state's reporting format and comparisons.
